Guests Arrival

Article Posted: 1 October 2007

When you have guests arriving from interstate or overseas for your wedding it is always good to have made arrangements for them. Here are some do's and don'ts for you to follow.

©       Do make sure you start looking for their accommodation early.

©       Do give your guests a choice of average or expensive accommodation. It is up to your guests with where they will want to stay.

©       Don't forget to ask your guests to make their reservations as soon as they have made their choice because if the wedding falls over any holidays or busy weekends they may not find any vacancies.

©       Make sure that accommodation is near or at where you will be having your Wedding. This way it is less risk of them getting lost.

©       Ask the hotel of a discount rate when booking groups of people. Your guests will appreciate this.

©       Do find out about transportation options or even pre book for guests arriving from the airport or train station.

©       Make include in the invitation any activities that are happening at the time of the wedding including football games, markets or shows.

©       Also include any theme parks or shopping centres around the area as this will help them around a little easier.

©       Don't go over organizing for overseas or interstate guests.

©       Do drive the route between the hotel, ceremony and reception if they are held at different venues and if your guests have hired a car.

©       Make sure you give each guest any map they may need.

©       Do send a wedding announcement to those guests that you know will not be able to travel the distance to your wedding.
