Have someone allocated to help you get into your dress, usually this is reserved for the mother of the bride or head bridesmaid. Some dresses can be a little difficult, so it is best to have a little help, just to make sure that it sits just right and so you don't damage the dress while you getting into it.
If you have already had your make up applied and hair done, place a silk scarf over your head when getting into your dress. This will stop your make up from rubbing off on the dress, and keeps your hair in place. Invest in a low stool to sit down on and spread your skirt over the stool to stop it from getting creased while you have your hair styled and the headpiece put in place.
Don't mind the photographer as they will want to take photos during the preparation stage. These can be lovely, natural moments to look back on when it's all over. You should start dressing for the wedding approximately one and a half hours before you have to leave. And remember to relax and enjoy your special day.
