Garters

Have you ever wondered why should you wear a bridal garter on your wedding day? 

The throwing of the garter at the reception dates back to the time when women wore garters with their hose.  The unmarried man who catches the garter was thought to share in the groom's good luck.  Today it's thought that the man who catches the garter will be the next to marry. 

Hmm, I wonder how many men would actually try to catch the wedding garter if they knew that little bit of folklore?
