Guest List
Once you have set the date booked the venue the next step is to put together the guest list. This can be quiet daunting, but keep in mind how many guests your venue can cater for and what your budget will allow and STICK TO IT.
Start making a list.
Who to invite?
This is the $500,000 question. We live in very different times were families are separated and or have extended families. Some Family members may want to invite people you don't know or family you haven't seen since your christening, Keep in mind, a wedding is a celebration and your family want to share in the occasion. So tread carefully

Groom immediate Family
Extended families
Close friends
Work mates
Children – If you don't want children at the ceremony/reception advice your guests as soon as possible so they can make arrangements for sitters. You may offend some but set the ground rules early and be firm with your decisions.
If your guest list gets out of hand and you have to trim your guest list, you need to discuss this option with your partner but it may be an idea to eliminate work mates from your list. You can't invite some and not others as it may cause tension among some colleagues. Choosing not to invite work makes will create a more personal and smaller wedding.
Once you have made your list then it's onto the next step, selecting your stationary and printing the invitations…
