BUSINESS PROFILE

Wedding Links was formed in 1998 on Queensland's Gold Coast, and was quickly embraced by the industry to cover the entire south east quarter of Queensland - Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba. Late in 2001 the Company expanded into New South Wales and the rest of Queensland and now covers the whole of Australia.

The Wedding Links concept is designed to address the major weaknesses being experienced in the wedding industry.

  • No easy to use central area for couples to source suppliers & information on weddings.
  • No Wedding Industry standards & direction.
  • Availability of industry specific business development tools.
  • Affordability for business to promote their services to Couples.

FOUNDERS

Wedding Links was orginally created from the wealth of knowledge and experience of Debbie Bruce.

DEBBIE BRUCE

Director of Business Development

Debbie has more than 25 years experience within the corporate sector and Wedding Industry. She started her career in a prominent Sydney law firm and then moved up into a finance company, leading their legal recovery department. After a short break for family, she worked along side the Managing Director of a large fuel company in Sydney. Her experience has also given her extensive experience within the conferencing market.
She has over 12 years experience in the Wedding Industry as a Photographer, which has helped her develop a greater understanding of the needs facing the Industry. Debbie's education in the areas of Business Development, Business Administration and Law.

Professionally

Amber and Brock’s professional background is extensive working across Government, Large and Small businesses in Information Technology, Strategy & Marketing & Business Development. Amber and Brock bring a broad variety of skills to the Wedding Links Team with Amber who is by profession a Training & Business Analyst Consultant and Brock who specialises in Project Management and Digital Marketing & Media.

Personally

Amber and Brock Lynch married in October 2005 and reside in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In November 2008 they celebrated the birth of their beautiful daughter. With a family business already in the wedding industry the opportunity to assist couples like themselves back in 2005 seeking a reliable &< informative online wedding directory has drawn them to the Wedding Links franchise.

Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Franchisees – Ben & Mary-Clare Sexton

Both Ben & Mary-Clare are qualified and experienced event managers, offering a strong outlook for the future of the wedding industry across South East Queensland (Sunshine Coast and Brisbane regions).

Ben

Ben draws on over 13 years experience in sales, management and project management, particularly within the automotive and retail industries. He is an experienced events promoter, working with a number of local and national organizations. Ben brings with him the business and sales knowledge to drive the lead generation and growth of the Wedding Links franchise.

Mary-Clare

Mary-Clare is an experienced events manager with a business degree in Leisure Management. She has formed part of the coordinating team on some of Brisbane’s major festivals. Over the past 4 years Mary-Clare has also managed community events, civic events and festivals in the Moreton Bay Region. Her experience in the field of event management provides a strong understanding of the industry and what it has to offer suppliers from the Wedding Industry.

Together they have the skills to drive the franchise, and provide you with an exceptional service. As a recently married couple, they have been in your position and understand the wedding industry from both perspectives.
